Course Overview
CQB1 gave you the foundation. CQB2 is where that foundation gets tested. Advanced Close Quarters Battle takes everything you learned about angles, entries, and two man movement and scales it up to the most demanding context in civilian defensive training — the four man team operating inside a structure.
Working as a team of four changes everything. The communication requirements increase dramatically, the movement is more complex, the muzzle discipline demands are greater, and the consequences of a breakdown anywhere in the team are immediate and serious. This course is built around developing the skills, habits, and mindset that allow four individuals to function as a single coordinated unit in a confined space.
Like CQB1 this course is conducted entirely with training weapons provided by Eastern Front Defense Academy. No live ammunition is used. One team of four runs at a time while the second team observes — because in advanced CQB training watching and learning from other operators is as valuable as running the drills yourself. Every student rotates through every position in the team so they understand the full picture of four man operations.
This is the most advanced course in the Eastern Front Defense Academy curriculum. Come prepared, come focused, and come ready to work.

Communicate effectively using verbal and non-verbal signals during team CQB operations
Stack, enter, and clear a room as part of a coordinated four man team
Clear multiple connected rooms in sequence as a team
Navigate hallways as a four man element with proper spacing and muzzle discipline
Apply stairway and elevated position concepts in theory
Maintain situational awareness of all team members during dynamic movement
Identify and correct team breakdowns in movement, communication, and muzzle discipline
Perform as both a team leader and team member across multiple scenarios
What You'll Practice
Hands-on drills and exercises in this course
CQB1 Fundamentals Review
CQB2 builds directly on CQB1 — and we confirm your foundation is solid before we build anything on top of it. Every student runs a solo entry at the start of the course so your instructor can identify any gaps before the team work begins. Strong individuals make strong teams.
Four Man Team Structure & Roles
You will learn every position in a four man CQB team — Point Man, Assault, Support, and Rear Security. Each position has a specific job, a specific sector, and a specific responsibility. You will rotate through all four positions across the course so you understand the full picture of how a four man team operates from every angle.
Team Communication
A four man team that cannot communicate is four individuals — not a team. You'll learn and drill verbal signals, hand and arm signals, and touch signals until communication between team members becomes automatic. Knowing what to say, when to say it, and how to say it without breaking the team's momentum is one of the most underrated skills in CQB.
Four Man Room Entry
The four man entry is the centerpiece of this course. Stack, signal, breach, sector, clear, consolidate — you will run this sequence repeatedly, rotating through every position, until the movement flows as a single coordinated unit. One team runs while the other observes — because in CQB you learn as much from watching as you do from doing.
Hallway Movement & Intersection Crossing
Hallways and intersections are some of the most dangerous spaces in a structure and most civilian training never addresses them. You'll learn how a four man element moves through a hallway, covers doorways and openings as it passes, and crosses a T-intersection safely — skills that apply directly to any real structure you might need to defend or clear.
Stairway Operations — Theory
Stairways present unique challenges in CQB that cannot be ignored even if practical application requires a dedicated facility. You'll learn the principles of stairway movement, the fatal funnel applied vertically, and the key differences between bottom-to-top and top-to-bottom movement — giving you the conceptual foundation to apply these skills when the opportunity for practical training arises.
Multiple Room Clearing Sequence
Clearing one room is one skill. Clearing a series of connected rooms while maintaining team integrity, communication, and momentum is an entirely different challenge. You'll run multi-room clearing sequences as a four man team — building the continuous, coordinated movement that separates trained operators from untrained ones.
Full Structure Scenarios
The course culminates in complete multi-room scenarios where everything — movement, communication, entries, decision making, and adaptability — is tested together under stress. Your instructor introduces unknown elements, shoot/no-shoot decisions, and a simulated man down situation to push the team beyond its comfort zone. This is where real learning happens.

After Course Completion
This is a completion-based course. Students who attend the full 4 hours, demonstrate safe handling of training weapons, and actively participate in all team drills and scenarios will receive their CQB2 completion card. The instructor reserves the right to remove any student from the training area who cannot safely handle training weapons or whose movement creates unsafe conditions for other team members.
